Background:
Located on the northwest fringes of the Borough of Rochdale, the school was originally built in 1969 as a one-form entry school. In 1989, the school building was extended, and is now a two-form entry school with 14 classes. The school has its own playing fields and fenced-in playground. The parent's teacher association is very active raising over £3000 last year. Athletics, choir, cross-country, cricket, football, gymnastics, music tuition, orchestra, recorder classes, rugby and swimming. The school'seeks to value the contribution of each individual, to foster and cultivate self esteem and respect for the diversity of cultural values and beliefs.
