Background:
Situated in Ashton-in-Makerfield close to the M6, the school bases its ethos on Catholic principles. It strives for all pupils to attain their potential, including those who are more or less able or who have special educational needs. The grounds and garden are used to support pupils' learning, particularly in geography. A 'wide' range of activities is offered throughout the year, including a 'venture week' for Year 6 pupils. Children participate in inter-school football and netball competitions and recently won local schools' swimming gala. Pupils are encouraged to raise funds for a range of charities each year and parents are welcome to assist in the classroom.
