Background:
The school is situated on the north east side of Preston. The school is a mixed voluntary aided Catholic primary school. It is a modern purpose-built school with extensive playing fields. The school was opened in 1954 and nursery was added in 1990. The school provides a broad and balanced education catering for children's individual needs, developing the children spiritually, mentally, physically and culturally through a variety of learning experiences in conjunction with the mission statement of the school. The school has recorders, netball, athletics, football, swimming, country dance, gymnastics, rounders and computers. These activities take place at lunchtime and after-school. The school has achieved the Investor in People status. The school aims to maintain its specific Catholicity by inculcating the ideals and virtues of the Gospel.
