Background:
The original School Building which dates back to 1872 is mainly used for administration and one classroom. In 1963 four modern classrooms were added and in 1976 a large Assembly Hall was also added. The ground floor of the original school house was converted to provide a further new classroom in 1996. The Assembly Hall is fully equipped with Physical Education apparatus and also doubles as a Dining Room. An outdoor play facility is a recent addition to the school. A Kitchen is attached to the Hall so that School Meals are cooked and served on the premises. The School is set in comparatively large playing fields in a rural setting with panoramic views over to Rivington Pike. The school provides various sporting activities such as: football, Netball, cricket and swimming. The school has recently developed a computer club in the school.
