Background:

Garstang St. Thomas' is a primary school serving the market town of Garstang. The school'stands in its own grounds bordered by the Lancaster, Preston canal and the River Wyre and overlooking the golf course. Closely connected with the local church the school has a reputation of a caring school where excellent provision is made for the development of the whole child. Rural Wyre Children's Centre is presently being built on the school site and is due for completion in October 06. The children centre will offer full day care integrated with early education for babies and children, support for childminders, parenting support, adult education and training with crèche facilities, job centre PW, health care, community activities and extended schools activities. The school has a Christian ethos which aims to provide a stimulating education and ensure every member of school is cared for and valued as a member of Gods family.
