Background:
Originally named Trinity School, this school dates back to 1839. The original school was demolished in the late 1940s and the new school was built during the following decade. It is proud of its continuing 'close links' with Holy Trinity Church and the wider community. The 'happy and caring' school occupies 'delightful' grounds. School teams participate in the Royal Fylde Sports' Association leagues in football, netball, rounders, cross-country, swimming, athletics and badminton. The 'broad and progressive' curriculum encourages the 'pursuit of excellence in every sphere'. There is a 'strong music tradition' and tuition is offered in woodwind and guitar. The 'active' Parents Friends and Teachers Association supports the work of the school and promotes a 'fruitful' relationship between home and school. Money is raised for charities during Autumn and Lent. 'The Christian ethos is central to all we aim to achieve'.
