Background:

Oulder Hill is a genuine comprehensive, community school, which seeks to meet the individual needs of all its students. The school offers a broad, balanced curriculum and a full range of GCSE subjects and a variety of extra-curricular activities. The school is a specialist language college. The language centre is housed on the ground floor of the school and has a language laboratory, a multimedia, and a classroom with an interactive whiteboard. The school teaches eight languages and main languages teach to GCSE and AS levels are French, German, Spanish, Urdu in addition they offers Italian, Japanese, Russian and Portuguese. It has a wide range of multi-cultural and multi-faith events such as winter celebration and international cultural evenings, which provide opportunities for all pupils to share their cultural experiences and to work together creatively. The school has ongoing programmes to invest in both the fabric and facilities of the school. The school has a wide range of sporting activities are football, netball, badminton, hockey, athletics and basketball. The school has generous facilities including gym, 25 meter swimming pool, badminton courts and other sports facilities are gymnasia, squash courts and extensive playing fields.
