Background:
Northfold Community School opened in January 1965. It is single-storey with eight large classrooms, a multi-purpose hall, an open quadrangle and large playground with adjoining playing fields. Extra-curricular activities include choir, recorder, flute, clarinet, netball, football, cricket, athletics, badminton, drama, chess, art and nature clubs. Educational visits are a feature and many charities are supported throughout the year. A large computer suite has just been added to the school. The school is a happy family school with a very welcoming atmosphere. All pupils are expected to be responsible and show consideration, courtesy and respect at all times. There is a strong sense of community spirit with excellent relationships between pupils, staff and parents.
