Hutton Grammar School is a Church of England Voluntary Aided Secondary Comprehensive School. It admits boys only between the ages of 11 and 16, but the sixth form contains both boys and girls. Hutton Grammar is a quietly effective school. Its core values are firmly based on Christian principles of mutual respect; of the unique value of each individual and care all should experience and practice follow the Teachings of the Gospel. All pupils are encouraged to participate in the activities, which are provided in addition to the basic curriculum. Some of the other activities and societies include the following:-art club, chess club, choir - a wide variety of different types, orchestra/bands, Christian union and sub aqua.
