Background:
Haslingden High School is a secondary school and sixth form for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is 11 to 18. The school encourages its pupils to become involved in extra-curricular activities and many participate in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. Clubs and societies meet at lunchtimes and after-school. These include chess, computer, technology, dance and film clubs. The school offers regular trips to France and Germany as well as annual skiing and PGL watersports holidays. The school aims to set high standards and create a leaning environment in which all are treated with understanding and respect.
