Background:
Coupe Green Community Primary School is situated in the village of Hoghton not far from Preston. It was opened in 1975 and is set in a quiet, semi-rural position. The school has attractive, extensive grounds with a pond and this offers many opportunities for practical science, geography, art and of course physical education and sport. The school is a member of the Walton-le-Dale Schools Sports Association. Football and netball teams play in friendly matches and knock-out competitions against local school teams. The school also competes against other schools at cricket and rounders. The teams have been very successful in recent years, winning the League, the Lancashire Kwik Cricket tournament and many trophies. The school aims to create a caring and secure environment where individuals are valued and respected.
