Background:

Holy Family School serves the Parish of Holy Family. The school was built in 1974, extended in 1976 and again in 1993 is very pleasantly situated. It comprises three main blocks. These are separated by a well-equipped resource area, which is used for painting, sand and water-play. The Infants enter school through their own door at the rear of the building. Also sited centrally is a multi-purpose hall, which is well equipped for physical education and where children gather for daily assembly. The school is extremely well maintained and very well resourced. There is a large playing field marked for athletics and football and an additional grassed area which, in summer, is ideal as an extra play area. Children are made aware of their responsibilities to care for their school environment both internally and externally and encouraged to take pride in it. Extra-curricular activities include football, netball, rounders, kwik cricket, athletics, swimming. There are various opportunities to enhance the learning of pupils.
