'An accelerated learning school, analysing how ppuils learn effectively and gearing teaching uniquely to different kinds of learner. Plenty of music, water, free fruit and brain gyms. It really works!' All-round curriculum strength, with national reputation for mathematics, science and technology; technology college trophy winners for three successive years. Strong sports teams with excellent facilities; rugby, hockey, aerobics and golf; athletics is a speciality, winning Preston City Sports for four successive years. School musicals; orchestra, jazz band. Winners of 2002 Jaguar-sponsored Formula One competition. Provides free computers to local primary schools; involves them in weather satellite tracking system. Pupil masterclasses on Saturday mornings; ICT courses for local Mothers' Union. Regular worship, Eucharist, commitment to God 'feature prominently'.
