Background:

The school was opened in 1965 and 60 children are admitted each year making a school roll of 411 children. There are fourteen classes, two for each age group, with each class having an equal mix of boys and girls and reflecting the full range of abilities. The Infant building has been completely re-furbished, providing a Key Stage 1 ICT suite, with furnishings just at the right height for the younger children in school. This year has also seen extensions to the junior building, allowing for an extended ICT suite. The school has an After School Club - "QD Kids Club" and a Breakfast Club, The school offers many extra-curricular clubs during, both at lunchtimes and after school. These include sports, ICT, music and gardening.
