Background:
Intack is a junior and infant school. It was built in the 1930s to serve the families of the Intack Estate and the surrounding area. There are 13 classrooms in the main building. One is used as an ICT suite and contains computers. Another is used as the school library. The school has a parent's room where family learning courses take place. The school hall is used for assemblies, physical education lessons and school lunch. There are extensive school grounds including a large field. All children are taken out of school from time to time, to work in the local environment. Children also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports such as football, rounders, cricket, athletics and swimming. From time to time, sporting competitions are also arranged with other schools. The school aims to be a happy and caring community where all children will enjoy learning.
