The school was founded in 1684. It continues to uphold its religious character and association with the Church of England. The school has excellent ICT resources with 22 computers for 49 pupils. French is taught to pupils Year 1 to Year 6. Music is taught by specialists from Lancashire Music Service. The school provides a broad and balanced curriculum, providing appropriate challenge for able, gifted and talented pupils. The school's ethos supports and promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of each child.
