Background:
St Mary's Catholic Primary School has served St Mary's Parish in Chorley for over one hundred and fifty years. In 1981, the school moved from its old building on Devonshire road to the new site, which it now occupies. The school now enjoys a modern building situated in its own landscaped ground with adjacent playing field. There are seven classrooms, as well as several ancillary teaching areas, a Pre-School classroom, a Special Needs teaching area, a hall, a well-stocked fiction, non-fiction library and a networked computer suite.
