Situated in the centre of the village of Rufford, near Ormskirk, the school has 'strong' links with St Mary's church and takes an 'active' role in the community. Indoor facilities include 'bright, spacious classrooms', a main hall, library, resource room and offices. A 'wide range' of extra-curricular activities is offered including netball, football, athletics, rounders, cricket, guitar, choir and French. In 1999 the school 'achieved many sporting trophies within the district'. It 'provides a happy, caring atmosphere, within a framework of firm, positive discipline and Christian values'.
