Background:
Chatburn School founded over 180 years ago and so has a long-standing and high record of achievement. It is above all, a village school serving the people of Chatburn and surrounding communities. The school moved to its present site in 1965 and has four classrooms and cloakrooms. The surrounds include an extensive tarmac playground and a grassed area. The school also has use of the adjoining playing field. There is a large, well-equipped hall, which is used for Physical Education lessons, assemblies, musical activities and school meals.
