Background:
The school opened in 1975. It is housed in a modern semi open plan style, which enables 'flexible use of space and equipment.' The school is 'surrounded by large playing areas' and it is situated on the edge of Hollingworth Country Park. There is French tuition once a week for year 5 and 6 children. The school believes 'the development of the arts is just as important as the core areas.' All staff contribute towards extra-curricular activities. The school'sucessfully provides a caring and positive environment in which each individual pupil is helped to flourish.
