Background:
The school is a single-storey, open-plan building built in 1977. It is co-located on a site with the local secondary provision, Little Lever College. The site is busy, but facilities are good, including a large football pitch, wildlife area and a good size play area. The school works hard to provide a broad and balanced curriculam including violin lessons and French for its Key Stage Two pupils. There is a good range of extra-curricular activities to cater for all interests. Bowness is 'an inclusive society' that provides a caring and supportive environment in which pupils develop their potential, academically and socially.
