Background:
Salesbury Church of England Primary School is a primary and nursery school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is three to 11. It is proud of its history and traditions, but it is always looking for ways to improve standards in the education it provides. The school, with infant and junior departments on a single site in Lovely Hall Lane, Salesbury, created a new piece of history in the summer 1994 when it was awarded grant-maintained status. It has now returned to Lancashire Education Authority. It is a Church of England school, and aims to foster a Christian atmosphere, including daily Christian worship and prayer, within a happy, secure and caring environment. The school has football and netball teams, which have achieved considerable success in recent years.
